Traffic Secrets 2.0 Review

I wanted to thoroughly examine John Reese’s Traffic Secrets 2.0 course before I decided whether or not to recommend it. I never recommend anything that I have not bought myself and tested thoroughly.

Traffic Secrets 1.0 was ground breaking in its day, and it was highly valuable to me but Traffic Secrets 2.0 is even better and sells for less than half the price.

This is a completely new course and reference work that has lifetime updates built into it. It is both up-to-date – including valuable information in new areas such as Video Marketing and what John Reese calls ‘Social Strategy’ – and a completely new account of every way that you can use to bring traffic to your website.

What I particularly like about Traffic Secrets 2.0 is that the accompanying 373 page book can be read independently of the CDs. I found one or two typos but otherwise could not fault the content. For me, a detailed and comprehensive text always helps me to understand a process better. Of course you can choose to use the CDs exclusively if you learn better this way.

My only slight reservation with this course is that there is little guidance on exactly where your energies are best spent if you have very limited time.  That said, in the area of Internet Traffic, almost every technique mentioned will work for you over time, whichever strategy you follow first.  Also, in the promotional field, the more varied the methods you use to bring in traffic, the better. At the moment, for instance, organizations are achieving spectacularly good results with video marketing but as more people learn how to use this technique, it may be no longer as effective. The jury is still out on the staying power of these video results.

Traffic Secrets 2.0 is a lifetime product. Purchasers also get access to an updating web resource. Therefore, this course will be the authority on Traffic long into the future and once your purchase is made, you will not have to re-invest again to keep up to date in the field.

At the moment, the web resource for the course has over fifty useful categories such as ‘How to get listed in iTunes’, ‘Twitter Resources’ or ‘Screen Capture Software’. There are additional DVD downloads on ‘Testing and Tracking’ and ‘Outsourcing’, with more to follow. The Training Guide can be downloaded here in PDF format as it is updated.

The forum for purchasers has a clean layout with already well-used categories such as ‘Competitive Research’, ‘Operating Your Content Factory’ and ‘Video Marketing’. My guess is that you will find many useful nuggets of information here as well.

The Action Tracker is a good idea.  The first action recommended is to set up your Google Calendar. (If you haven’t used Google Calendar yet, this is a great tool for you and any of your employees or outsourced workers.) At the moment, there are 86 separate actions to record but this makes sense because there is little point in acquiring knowledge if you don’t make use of this knowledge. It is also usually small progress steps that lead to success, in my experience.

If you will not be involved in promoting your business in the near future you should not buy this product. Otherwise, you should buy Traffic Secrets 2.0.

You will not regret your decision. The sooner you get started with this course, the sooner your profits are likely to grow. Without attention, your organization cannot thrive.
